About the Black Mages/ Black Waltzes
What are Black Mages/ Black Waltzes you ask? Well, if you're new to Final Fantasy and have no clue what they are then this is where you should start reading. Black Mages are a magic using class which are well known for wearing straw hats, some have faces completley blacked out with black skin and bright yellow eyes and blue or black robes. Their appearance are popularized by Gandalf, who was designed by the Norse god Odin. There is also the upgraded version of Black Mages called the Black Wizard, much more stronger than the Black Mages. The Black Mages uses wooden staves (sometimes metal) and casts attack magic such as fire, ice, thunder, and water. They also have other attacks such as Osmosis, Sleep, etc. Though their magic attack is powerful, their physical and magic defense are weak. Anyway, since Final Fantasy I, the Black Mages have been very popular among users along with Fighters (what is a fighter? Just physical warriors that use long swords). Black Mages have been seen through out many games other than Final Fantasy. They made an appearance in games such as the Mario series and Kingdom Hearts series. There are also popular black mage characters such as Vivi Ornitier/ Orunitia (FFIX) and Lulu (FFX). There is also a band that was created by Noubo Uetmasu (the composer of the FF music) and named it "The Black Mages".

As for the Black Waltzes, they solely made one appearnce in FFIX, but they have impacted very much on the fans. Black Waltzes are manufactored black mages to be stronger warriors for the black mage army made by Kuja. But though they are superior in strength, however, their lifespans are quite short than the other black mages manufactored by Kuja (which live around a year). There are only three Black Waltzes (which had little scene time). One of them, Black Waltz No. 1, is a hunched back Waltz with a bell that can control blizzards and is guarded by a snake-like ice creature named Sealion, Black Waltz No. 2 who is focused on fire based magic and also is a mocking-type of personalitiy, and the badass Black Waltz No. 3, the thunder typed Waltz and the most popular of the three. And that is all you need to know.

Please, please, PLEASE keep the picture/writing on topic! You need to sumbit the deviation of the Black Mages, Black Waltzes, or both. If there is a picture with no Black Mages or Black Waltzes in there then it won't be accepted.
Fan-made characters are accepted if they're a Black Mage or Black Waltz type of character.
